Description :
|
A close up view of La Casa Nueva’s enormous front door, showing its lever-handle lockset and two of the phalanx of ornamental studs that cover it. The 1920s represented the twentieth-century apogee of decorative blacksmithing; a piece of hardware that couldn’t be obtained in the extensive catalogs of the day--such as this one--could be readily custom fabricated.
