In 1923, Mizner constructed a Mediterranean-style building on Worth Avenue opposite the Everglades Club to house his own studio and the offices of Mizner Industries. The following year he added a highly innovative retail complex known as Via Mizner. Fronted by graceful arcades, and punctuated with plazas and fountains strung along a pedestrian walkway stretching from block to block, Via Mizner was a groundbreaking commercial design that has remained influential down to the present. Once again, Mizner provided a large tower element to serve as his own residence, which included a large study on the fifth floor and a veranda overlooking Worth Avenue. The project proved so successful that Mizner added a similar complex, named Via Parigi in honor of its backer, Paris Singer, the following year.
