Description :

The centerpiece of CityPlace is the Harriet Himmel Gilman Theater, a venue for live performance that originally opened in 1926. “The Harriet” was closed in 1989 following a long decline in the surrounding neighborhood, but triumphantly reopened in 2001 as CityPlace’s visual and cultural anchor. At right is a typical new retail facade designed to complement the theater’s imposingly towered Spanish Revival design. |
