The ceramic tile floor in the Adamson living room features a basketweave-patterned ceramic tile floor with small square inserts of Saracen tile, framed by a border and baseboard of Malibu tile. The room’s Moorish theme is complemented by the pointed arches seen in the window and fireplace opening. Handpainted decoration adorns the mahogany beamed ceiling as well as the fireplace hood, which carries a depiction of Neptune. The room’s furnishings are original and unrefurbished pieces belonging to the Adamson family.
