A cloak of lush foliage envelops this Pueblo Revival-style gem in Tucson dating from the early Thirties. The expansive rectangular porch steps spill out onto a packed gravel driveway, clearly marking the entry and literally extending a warm welcome. A simple barrel-tiled shed roof protects the visitor from the searing Sonoran Desert heat. The wooden lintels visible above the windows were the customary means of spanning small openings in adobe construction; in the case of this wood-framed house, of course, they are merely decorative.
