Description :

The kitchen of La Loma de los Vientos, while more modest than that of La Casa Nueva, nevertheless provides generous cabinet space; additional storage is found in the adjoining pantry, just visible at right background. The unique and practical cabinet catches, which consist of a brass knob with a center push-button, were apparently made in the Los Angeles area for a brief number of years. The large gas range, with its porcelain-handled gas cocks, tall cabriole legs, and two-toned and pinstriped porcelain enamel finish, is typical of the better quality models of its era. Ceramic tile forms a full-height backsplash behind the range, which is continued up into the interior of the exhaust hood above it.
