The relatively restrained dining room at La Casa Nueva features a rank of shallow, hand-hewn ceiling beams, their ends carried on carved corbels. The large arched double doors at right lead into the entrance hall; the passage to the left gives onto the various rooms of the kitchen. The dining chairs, with their red velvet, gold-tasseled upholstery and spiral-sided backs, are typical of Spanish Revival furniture design of the period.
